There are a number of things to do, and factors that will help you get bookings:
1. Apply for opportunities
Some clients leave requests for work, and you can reply to them directly to see if you can help!
Head to the "Opportunities" section of your profile to jobs that match your subjects and location, or head to "tutoring jobs" at the footer of the main page to see a full list.
Introduce yourself, and say why you'll be a great tutor for them!
2. Respond quickly to messages
Tutors that respond to messages quickly are far more likely to receive a booking. Not only does it demonstrate your eagerness and professionalism, but you'll be ranked higher in search results if you display consistently higher response rates.
3. Keep your availability calendar up to date
Having more lessons listed in your availability calendar will boost your visibility and ranking in search results and therefore increase your chances of getting bookings. However, nothing frustrates a client more than booking a lesson, only to find out that the time is no longer available. So make sure your times are up to date.
4. Become a Verified tutor
Verified tutors sit at the top of search results by default, so the sooner you become "Verified" the better your chances of being discovered and taking bookings. Head to www.tutorfair.eventbrite.com to find out when the next Fast Track event is happening for you to get verified.
5. Get more references/ reviews
Get at least two references from past clients to start, then keep going! They represent the social proof of your capability as a tutor and are one of the primary ways to build trust with potential clients. When you complete a lesson, send your client a link to your profile and ask them to leave a review.
6. Share your profile
There are lots of ways you can get people to see your profile. Tutors who share their profile get more bookings than those who don't. Read this article for our top tips on how to earn more through sharing your profile.
7. Improve your profile
Of course, the content of your profile is crucial, here's how you can nail it.
