Who can provide a reference?

Last Updated: Jan 04, 2017 05:08PM GMT

A reference is feedback from someone who hasn't booked a lesson with you on Tutorfair.

The best references are from people who you have tutored previously. This is because it most closely resembles why they are looking to book you. For this reason, we recommend asking for references from past clients of yours.

That said, you can also ask for a character reference from a past employer, university professor or colleague. These references should make it clear that you weren’t actually tutoring them, but should highlight relevant characteristics and experience. Examples including mentoring, working with children, teaching someone a skill or your academic ability.

Take a look at these tutors’ reviews that were not for their tutoring: Tarek C, George S and Sam F.
