What if I didn’t do the A-levels, GCSE or IB?

Last Updated: Sep 06, 2015 09:50PM BST

Many of the Tutorfair tutors did their high school and/or degrees in countries where the qualifications may not be as well known in the UK including Australia, Italy and Poland.

High School qualification excluding A-levels, GCSE and IB:

Find out what the equivalent of your grade is to either of the A-Level, IB, AS-level or GCSE. Try to match it to the qualification you are interested in teaching. For example if you are looking to teach Maths in IB, find the grade equivalent to an IB score out of 7 so parents and students can easily relate to your abilities. Once you have done that, put down the grade you find in the provided space, the name of your school in 'Other Qualifications' and include a note that the grade is an equivalent score.

University qualifications out of the UK:

Put in the grade section an equivalent to the UK honours grading system so that your clients can better relate. For example if you have a Distinction from an Australian university which equates to a First Class Honours in the UK, write this as your grade and explain that it is an equivalent.
