Explain to the client that this is not allowed. Online payments allow Tutorfair to: rank tutors by the number of lessons they’ve given; resolve any disputes through the record of each transaction; and protect tutors by taking a record of each client.
If clients need convincing, reassure them that the first lesson booked through Tutorfair is guaranteed, so they can ask for a refund if unhappy.
Further, it allows us to fund the Foundation side of Tutorfair, delivering free tuition to children who can't afford it
We find that the clients who refuse to pay in advance may have no intention of paying at all - or they cancel last-minute, or they are not genuine clients.
